To be born, each of us must go through the evolution process. After fertilization we are only a small cell- fertilized ovum, which passes through the stages of development to become a human.
It is difficult to build a house without a good foundation. If any of the processes does not go well, our body will not develop properly. First, we swim in the womb in which there is less and less space, and we have to go outside, because inside there is not enough space for further development. Going outside is hard physical work both for the child and the mother. The body of a newborn is like a bag filled with water with small bones. Thanks to the natural adaptation after leaving the birth canal, the newborn opens up the lungs so it could take a breath for the first time. Lung pressure on the spine activates cranio-sacral liquid, which supports the "opening" of the bones of the skull and body after birth. Huge pressure, and sometimes unpleasant child support method of labour can disrupt this process. Inside the skull there is specified space. Regardless of the various problems, the body tries to preserve it, to ensure normal growth and brain development. Problems arise when various factors prevent full opening of the body shortly after birth. Strong compression and decompression moves the bones of the skull, so that they overlap one another which can lead to the compression of nerve endings and blood vessels. First of all the skull and neck are exposed to injury. Then the spine may undergo an injury. If this is not enough, several cranio-sacral treatments can help relax the resulting tensions.
How does the therapy go?
During the session, I try to make contact with the patient through eyes, sound and touch. If touch is not possible, because the infant or child wants to be with its mother, etc. - all is not lost yet. I ask a few questions about the labour, and then ask to put the child on the massage table. Security for a toddler is very important, thanks to it, you can achieve much more if it feels that what I do, gives it pleasure, it will help him relax, and enable to carry out the therapy. Sometimes, however, there are problems with the carrying out of therapy, then I start working with its mother. When a child sees that it gives its mother pleasure, it is automatically willing to undergo therapy.
Work with the Newborn:
- problems accompanying the lack of opening
- premature infants
- too fast labour forces cause tension in the membranes and too slow excessive formation of the skull bones
- forceps deliveries, vacuum, cesarean section
- abnormal oxygen passage through the placenta, anesthetics during childbirth or before labour
Specific problems in children we work with:
- Cerebral palsy
- Problems with bowel movements (fear before passage of stools in children)
- Sedating action
- Convergent and divergent strabismus
- Down Syndrome
- Learning difficulties
- Cerebral and ischemic strokes
